Connecting to a Scanner via SCSI Cable
This section explains how to connect
a scanner to this machine.
Important
❒ Prepare a marketed SCSI cable be-
fore connection procedures.
Note
❒ This machine complies with the
SCSI-2 standard. The SCSI inter-
face on this machine has a 50-pin
half-pitch (pin type) connector.
Connect an ANSI-compliant
shielded SCSI-2 cable to this ma-
chine. Note that some combina-
tions of cables and the devices may
not work together properly, so
check this carefully.
❒ Only one scanner can be connected
to this machine.

Assign a SCSI ID to one of the
numbers from 0 to 6.
Note
❒ The SCSI ID of this machine is
fixed to 7 and cannot be
changed.
❒ Follow the instructions of the
manual of your scanner to con-
nect to this machine for how to
change the SCSI ID of your
scanner.

Connect a SCSI cable to this ma-
