(1) MP 171 includes Legal Size Platen, 250 Sheet Paper Tray, 100 Sheet Bypass Tray, 16MB Memory and 50 Sheet ARDF.

The MP 171 is a basic Copy only model and cannot be upgraded to include faxing. You may upgrade to include Printing and Scanning.

(2) MP 171F includes Legal Size Platen, 250 Sheet Paper Tray, 100 Sheet Bypass Tray, 128MB Memory, 50 Sheet ARDF and

Fax capabilities. The MP 171F is a copy/fax model only and cannot be upgraded to include Printing and Scanning.

(3) MP171 SPF includes Legal Size Platen, 250 Sheet Paper Tray, 100 Sheet Bypass Tray, 384MB Memory and 50 Sheet ARDF.

The MP 171SPF comes standard with Copy, Scan, Print and Fax capabilities.

(4) Up to two Optional PS480 Paper banks can be installed, bringing the maximum paper capacity to 1,350 sheets.

(5) Accessobility Handle is only available for use on the Standard Paper Tray.

(6) S-C4 HDD is available for installation on MP 171 and MP 171SPF models only. The HDD is required to enable the following features: Paperless Fax,

Local Fax Storage, Sample, Locked, Hold, Stored, Store and Print, Mail-to Print, S/MIME for Scan-to-Email and Advanced Security Features.

(7) FAC19 Cabinet recommended with no Optional Paper Banks or one Optional PS480.

(8) FAC44 Cabinet recommended when two Optional PS480's are installed.

(9) P/S Unit available only for the MP 171 and includes PCL 5e/6, XPS Driver Support, TWAIN Driver and enables scan-to functionality.

(10) IEEE1284 is a Micro Centronics 36 pin cable. Converter adapter is required to connect to a Centronics connector. The adapter is available through Service Parts (p/n B6795100).

(11) Only one of the following three options can be installed. IEEE 1284 Interface Board Type A or IEEE 802.11 a/g Interface Unit

type L or Gigabit Ethernet Board Type A. They cannot be installed together.

(12) Postscript 3 required for MacIntosh environments, PostScript printing, Mail to Print and PDF Direct Print. Available for the MP 171SPF and MP 171 with Scanner/Printer kit.

(13) USB2.0 SD Slot option is available for installation on MP 171 and MP 171SPF models only. This option allows users the ability to Scan-to-Media (USB drive or SD Card).

(14) VM Card required for JAVA customization.

(15) Telephone Handset. Available only for installation on MP 171F and MP 171SPF models.

(16) HDD Encryption and Data Overwrite requires the installation of Hard Disk Drive Option Type 171.

(17) HDD Encryption encrypts data stored on the HDD to prevent data theft. Even if HDD is stolen, data stored will not be disclosed.

(18) Data Overwrite Security functions to overwrite copy, print and scan data that is stored on the internal hard drive by overwriting the latent image with

random sequences of 1's and 0's, making reproduction virtually impossible.

(19) Optional Counter Interface required for 3rd party solutions requiring 20-pin connections.

(20) MP 171SPF includes Standard Internet Fax (T.37), LAN Fax, IP-Fax (T.38) and Fax Forwarding to Email functions. Also requires PostScript3 option for Mail to Print feature.

(7) All MP1600 mainframes requires ADF DF2000 or Platen Cover Type 1018.
