What is meant by "Volume" in the SURETE?
"Volume" is the basic storage unit for the system administrator to manage data stored in the SURETE. The types of "Volumes"
hosted by the SURETE include JBOD and RAID group.
What is "JBOD"?
JBOD ("just a bunch of disks", or sometimes "just a bunch of drives") used to refer to a computer's hard disks that haven't been
configured according to the RAID. It means SURETE can configure each hard ¡§disk drive to JBOD and create it to a volume, after
that SURETE will have 8 volumes can be used.
What is meant by "Share" in the SURETE?
According to the network file sharing protocol, "share" is the minimum network resource unit exposed onto the network. You can
share one volume of SURETE directly; otherwise when you already create some folders in volume of SURETE, you also can select
some folders then share them onto the network.
Does the SURETE supports folder level sharing?
Yes. In addition to supports share a volume onto the network, SURETE also supports share a folder onto the network.
How many shares can be managed by the SURETE and exposed to the network?
Up to 255 shares can be managed by the SURETE and exposed to the network.
