3. Positioning

Acio SP C830DN and SP C831DN are positioned above Acio SP C431DN in Ricoh’s colour laser printer

range. The only colour laser printers in Ricoh’s range capable of printing onto A3 paper, when equipped with

the optional booklet nisher, Acio SP C830DN and SP C831DN can be used to create high-quality colour

brochures, booklets, newsletters and magazines.

4. Comparison with Predecessor

Acio SP C830DN and SP C831DN succeed Acio SP C820DN and SP C821DN in Ricoh’s A3 colour laser

printer range. Developments of the same print engine, Acio SP C830DN and SP C831DN offer a number of

advantages over their predecessors.

Advantages over Acio SP C820DN and SP C821DN include:

h 10% more productive (45 and 55 ppm respectively versus 40 and 50 ppm)

h Contemporary I-Style design with operational areas highlighted in grey

h New operation panel with home, status, energy saver, login/logout and user tool buttons

h Colour touchscreen provides easy access to intuitive user interface

h Customisable image area can be used to display an image, such as a corporate logo

h Push button toggle between standard and simplied menus

h USB/SD card slot conveniently located to the right of the operation panel

h Media les can be previewed in colour at the operation panel before printing

h Multiple PDF and TIFF media les can be printed in a single operation

h It is now possible to apply print settings such as duplex printing to media les

h New fusing belt technology reduces total energy consumption (TEC)

h Straight fusing path improves print quality on envelopes (eliminates wrinkles)

h ECO Night Sensor automatically switches the printer off when dusk falls
