Moving the Printer

Moving the printer in a short distance

• Do not remove the print cartridges when moving the printer.

1. Be sure to check the following points:

• The power switch is turned off.

• The power cable is unplugged from the wall outlet.

• The interface cable is unplugged from the printer.

2. If Tray 2 is installed, remove it.

3. Lift the printer with two people by using the inset grips on both sides of the printer, and

then move it horizontally to the place where you want to install it.

4. If you have removed Tray 2, reinstall it.

• Be sure to move the printer horizontally. To prevent toner from scattering, move the printer

carefully.
